THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL SEAL YOUR FREEDOM
When you gave your life to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit sealed that at some point. When did He seal that? When you proclaimed according to Romans 10:9&10, believing with your heart and saying with your mouth that Jesus was your Lord and Savior, that is a seal.
People who have been saved awhile, if I ask them if they are saved, they laugh at me and say: “What are you talking about, I know I am saved.”
It is beyond doubt with them, a fact of life. It is a sealed matter in their life.
When people are saved there is no feeling that gives evidence of it, but they ‘know’ that they are….their spirit knows that they are saved. They didn’t do that, the Holy Spirit did that in them. This is the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit in their life sealing them, as it says in.
Ephesians 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation (Greek=soteria =made whole, saved, healed, delivered) : in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.
Believe with your heart, confess with your mouth….Romans 10:9&10.
That is the same principle Jesus talked about in Mark 11:23: if you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth you will have whatever you say.
It is a principle, like gravity. You can deny it, but if you jump off a building, you will experience gravity. It is just there and there is nothing you can do about it, and these principles of believing with your heart and saying with your mouth are just there.
Once you walk in this principle, the truth that you are believing and confessing is ‘sealed’.
So what you need to say is: “Thank you, Jesus, I am free from this depression. I am free from this.”
And after awhile, it may take a month or so, the Holy Spirit will seal that freedom in you. It is getting your spirit to a place where you ‘know’ it, just like you know you are saved.
You apply the principle of believing with your heart and confessing with your mouth to being saved, healed and delivered. This principle is the same in each case.
You will know if you are off somewhere, if you are applying a different principle in trying to get your healing or deliverance manifested. You can’t apply a different principle to being healed or delivered than you did to being saved and expect to see any results.
Any other principle, and you are not on the Word of God.
The Word of God is very clear, these principles act the same in all circumstances, and if you think they don’t, you’re just off. The Word of God isn’t off. Let God be true and every many a liar. You are off. You haven’t lined it up properly.
People will ask: “Well, how do I get there (meaning healed/delivered)?”
Exactly the same way you got saved: you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth.
I also spend a lot of time with people in John 14:27, walking in peace and joy.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
People who have come out of these situations usually have no concept of what peace, and joy is all about.
I ask them a question: How do you get peace from Jesus?
Most Christians wouldn’t answer this question properly. It is a principle again.
THE WAY YOU GET THINGS FROM JESUS IS BY ACCEPTING THEM. There is no other way. Everything in the New Testament is received by accepting the Finished Work of Christ.
So Jesus has given you peace, what is your response now?
You say, “Thank you Jesus, I accept it right now.”
Do you have peace right now? No, but you are accepting it right now. It is the same principle as the Finished Work. The first thing you do is accept it, then you know you have it, and then you walk it out. You might have a real fight on your hands when you accept this from Jesus, all hell tries to stop you from walking in the promises of God. If you persist you will have whatever has been accomplished in the finished work.
I’ve done this with people regarding their peace and it comes very quickly to them now. Many say, “I am experiencing peace now for the first time in twenty years.”
I say: Listen, you spoke it with your mouth, you accepted it, you said I am walking in this peace, thank you Jesus that I have it. You are not saying, ‘Jesus give me peace’, but ‘Jesus, I accept Your peace’.
That is the problem we have. If I ask most Christians how do you get peace from Jesus, they say: “I ask Him for it.”
Then they say, “Oh, I forgot, I have it already.”
You accept it.
You walk it out.
You proclaim that you have it.
Matt 6:25: Don’t worry, this takes times but it is reachable with the Word.
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life–whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?
Phil. 4:13: You can do all things, never “I can’t”, when you lose a battle, pick yourself up and go on.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
“I can do all things”…I cover this again regarding the sealing by the Holy Spirit.
Psa. 45:7: You are covered with the oil of gladness and you will see gladness in your life.
You have loved what is right and hated what is wrong. That is why God, your God, has anointed you, rather than your companions, with the oil of joy.
1 John 5:18: the wicked one touches him not.
We know that whoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not.
You have cleaned some things out of your life and it is difficult for demons to touch you when you are clean. You are fighting, you are getting sanctified before God, that is a good place to be.
Acts 17:28:Living in him, having victory in Him.
For in him we live, and move, and have our being….
Thank you Jesus for your finished work which gives “whosoever” will accept it, will walk in freedom from any oppression.
